Inilusan Festival

The Inilusan festival is started as a simple celebration of recollecting stories about the origins of Mambusao. Today, Inilusan is the most anticipated annual event that involes allMambusaonons here and abroad. This is simultaneously celebrated with the religious fiesta of St. Catherine of Alexandria, the patron saint of Mambusao, which culminates onNovember 25th. The week-long festivity includes merry making, beauty pageant and cultural shows, street dancing, parades, novenas and masses, exhibits, and the popular Food Festival.

The Inilusan is to Mambusao as Halaran is to Roxas City. The Mambusao cultural religious festivity was first introduced last 1975 as the year’s festival theme. The term Inilusan means the mutual and reciprocal giving and sharing of food in generous measure and in the spirit of fraternal goodwill that permeates the daily life ofMambusaonons.
